I picked up this book at the library. Called StarDoc? Girl goes to the fringe of the settled universe to treat aliens in a free clinic? I get to hear about the insides of various species? That sounds nice and biopunk. So I grabbed it thinking it would be good. Boy was I wrong.

Superstars of Dance was disappointing last night. :/ It's really lame, tbh. There were about four dances I actually enjoyed, but none of them on the level of a certain other show that airs in May. The judges have no critique and the audience boos for a score of 7/10? What? The US judge always gave people a higher score than any other judge and after a while I had to grin every time and think, "He's such a hero! :D" Darn you Hetalia. I haven't even read it, for goodness sake.

But there was Argentine Tango! :D :D Not that it was amazing or anything, but ffffffffffff. My favorite dance. Prolly gonna be watching Mundial tangos on youtube later tonight after the group routine disappoints me to no end. But still. Argentina had better win this thing. >|

I have been playing way too much DS:RK lately. I need to go dig up Alice in Wonderland and finally read it. Or write, since I had my quarterly why-Vee-can't-write-anything-decent epiphany. Lol.

I'm an hour late, but merry xmas everyone. :) Hope you all had fun holiday celebrations and all that jazz. I got some new headphones, and hopefully tomorrow I'll get an MP3 player that isn't Chinese and glitchier than Vista.

Adam Roberts helped edit a book that's like a text book on the study of science fiction. I want it so badly but it is 170 pounds and that's ridiculous. ;_; Maybe next year lol. Still have yet to find a cheap Trig book.

I am overdosing on tango nuevo music here. Expect massive recc spam once I figure out which songs I like the most here. Because at the moment they are all awesome and I'm looping in this beautiful circle of accordian and baseline and soft piano.

You know, I actually had fun at the family xmas party this year. I decided that I didn't want to be stuck upstairs making small talk with all my girly girl cousins and aunts, so instead I secluded myself in the basement with all the boys. Much Guitar Hero and Star Wars games were had, interspersed with sock thief wrestling and close quarters soccer. Plus I got to help my five year old cousin put together his Bionicles. Dang, I haven't done Legos in way too many years.

Got a sweet green scarf at the grab bag. The gag gifts when to other people this year. :P

I think faith in humanity has been restored. :)

And then Ria showed me this, closely followed by this popping up on my flist. Which, I don't even know what to say. ;_; They're beautiful and I'm touched to be remembered. I hope everyone else has as lovely a Christmas as I have. <3

EDIT: So many people said hi to me when I logged back into Deko today after my hiatus. ;_; I didn't think they noticed the crazy mod who tries to welcome newbs and loves to cheer on the underdogs. <3 Sorry I lost faith in you, Deko. Iluguys.

Today I realized that playing Deko Bloko regularly is exactly like being in fandom. Complete with the absolutely crazy nutjob psychos whose arguments make my brains leak out of my ears. D: And the sock puppets. And the "it's better if I can insult you when you can't hear me, noob" syndrome. And people who only play one kind of game but are darn good at it, even though they fail at the rest of the levels. And then some of them say that the other levels are noob and everyone who plays them is a loser. And the Crazy BNFs who like to rant at everyone that they're better than anyone else. Heaven forbid you're a nonmember too, because then you shouldn't even be able to speak, much less play A GAME with people.

I'm so glad some of the people on there are sane, wonderful individuals. They keep the fun going forever. Especially when we all get together to troll the trolls. <3

EDIT: I just had a lovely conversation with one of our trolls who claims to be a 34 or 36 year old woman working as either a psychiatrist or a physicist. (It depends on the day.) Except she doesn't know what it means to "apply your science" and apparently thinks that physics is the treatment of infectious diseases. XD
